Our Family History
Our History
Sharelooms was founded in 2005 after the loss of Heather’s beloved Grandpa Rod. After his funeral, the family gathered around the table—telling stories, flipping through old photos, and reading love letters to Grandma from his Marine days in the South Pacific during World War II. While these treasures kept his memory alive, it was hearing his voice that struck the deepest chord.
Not long after, Heather called her grandmother to check in. The answering machine picked up—and there it was: Grandpa’s voice, greeting her with his familiar warmth. It was a voice she missed more than she realized. That brief but emotional moment planted the seed for what would become Sharelooms.
What Started as a Passion Became a Calling
Heather began interviewing her grandmother, scanning family photos, and documenting her family’s stories. She wanted to make sure her children—and future grandchildren—would always know where they came from and who came before them.
When her first son was born, he was lucky enough to have six great-grandparents and four grandparents. Heather made it a priority to capture each of their stories on film.
But her love for memory-keeping started even earlier. In high school, she began making photo gifts for her family. Every Christmas, she created a custom photo calendar filled with family birthdays and favorite moments from the year. Even then, preserving family history was her way of showing love.

Sharelooms has grown from a kitchen table project into a trusted family history brand, serving families across San Diego and beyond. As a Mom-Owned Family Business, we’re proud to help families preserve their photos, home movies, and legacy stories.
Our work is rooted in the belief that every family has a story—and that story is worth saving, sharing, and celebrating. Whether we’re filming a Legacy Video Biography, designing a Life Story Book, or restoring a cherished photo, every Sharelooms project is created with care, love, and intention.
